The Media-Upper Providence Free Library is a private nonprofit organization providing a variety of materials and services for the public’s informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs. The Media Library Association was organized by the Woman’s Club of Media in 1901.
The Library became a member of the Delaware County Library System in 1981. Major renovations brought the library into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The library was made barrier-free and handicapped accessible and the Children’s room was doubled in size.
