Media Archives

The Media Borough Historic Archives created by Frank Lees over a period of 40 years is housed in a special room in the Media-Upper Providence Free Library. It contains more than 1,300 old photographs, newspapers and newspaper clippings, some dating back to the early 1800’s.

There is also a large collection of local post cards, pamphlets, old deeds and legal papers, including a complete history of the Borough of Media and the Police and Water departments.

The collection also houses photos and historic documents of Upper Providence and Nether Providence townships.

Research Databases

A variety of research databases are available to Delaware County Library System card holders.  Some of the databases are only accessible within one of the county system libraries, however most of the databases can be accessed online from any location.  Click here for a list of the databases.

Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, can be found online at FAFSA. To help students through the financial aid process, Federal Student Aid has launched Student Aid, a new website that provides easy-to-understand information about planning and paying for college and is fully accessible on tablets and smartphones.
