We accept volunteer applications year-round and contact applicants based on the needs of the library and the qualifications of the applicant.
Volunteer to “Adopt-a-Shelf,” wherein you would volunteer on a weekly basis to shelf-read an area of the library’s collection to help ensure proper placement of materials and thus creating a more helpful and efficient library for the community. This could be an hour or two of your time. It requires the ability to stand (depending on the collection, sit, reach or kneel), alphabetization and/or use of decimals.
