SUMMARY:Friday Film Club: Wakefield
DESCRIPTION:Our Friday Film Club in October explores: When is a house a home?  \nIn Robin Swicord’s adaptation of E.L. Doctorow’s short story\, successful suburbanite commuter Howard Wakefield (Bryan Cranston) takes a perverse detour from family life: He vanishes without a trace. Hidden in the attic of his carriage house garage\, surviving by scavenging at night\, Howard secretly observes the lives of his wife (Jennifer Garner) and children and neighbors. WAKEFIELD becomes a fraught meditation on marriage and identity\, as Howard slowly realizes that he has not in fact left his family\, he has left himself. \n  \nFall Films in October start at 1:00 PM in the library’s upstairs theater for adults 18 & up.      Hot Tea\, Pastries & Popcorn served and discussion after all movies. \n  \nThere are those that love their house so much\, they just can’t leave\, as in Wakefield on October 20th\, and A Ghost Story on October 27th. \nClick here for more on Film Club
