DESCRIPTION:Our Friday Film Club in January goes out to sea:\nFilms start at 1:00 PM in the library’s upstairs theater and is for adults 18 & up.\nHot Tea\, Pastries & Popcorn served and discussion after all movies. \nThe Finest Hours brings to life the most daring rescue in the history of the U.S. Coast Guard\, in which a crew of four risked their lives to save 33 men stranded at sea in the middle of a devastating nor’easter. The film\, which stars Chris Pine as Boatswain’s Mate First Class Bernie Webber\, sets out with a small team to rescue the crew of the Pendleton T2 oil tanker (Casey Affleck as Pendleton engineer)\, which split in half off the coast of Cape Cod in the beginning of 1952.\nShowing a day after we brace for our own 2018 Nor’easter on Thursday\, come join us for The Finest Hours. \nClick here to see all our film selections for January.
