SUMMARY:Friday Film Club: Amadeus
DESCRIPTION:Films are shown Friday Afternoon at 1 PM in our upstairs theater for adults 18 & up.\nHot Tea\, Pastries & Popcorn served and discussion after all movies. \nOur Friday Film Club for 2019 ends with Amadeus: \nWolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Tom Hulce) finds a fierce rival in the disciplined and determined Antonio Salieri (F. Murray Abraham). Resenting Mozart for both his hedonistic lifestyle and his undeniable talent\, the highly religious Salieri is gradually consumed by his jealousy and becomes obsessed with Mozart’s downfall\, leading to a devious scheme that has dire consequences for both men. \nConsidered one of the best films of all time\, Amadeus was nominated for 53 awards and received 40\, including eight Academy Awards. \n  \nWe went to the opera and ended on a high note in December by watching Maria by Callas and Ron Howard’s Pavarotti.  \n2020 will bring a whole new year of Friday Films!
