The Media Upper Providence Free Library Board of Trustees, and Library Staff are so grateful to our community for coming out and supporting our first Beef, Beer & Boogie night at the Media Fire House.

This was a new experience for most of us and it was so rewarding to be part of this festive, local event. Many community members and businesses contributed their time, talents, and products in making this happen. A special shout-out to…

• The Media Fire House– This was the perfect venue for our dancing attendees! We appreciate Scott Price for presenting our request to rent the facility to the Administration of the Fire House.

• La Padella restaurant in Upper Providence has been a dedicated sponsor for library events and Nick Amoroso again provided us with a delicious spread. We had so much food that we were able to donate full dinners for the evening meal at a mission in Chester.

• Megan and Sterling Pig Brewery stepped up to help us with a trio of their brews – a big hit with our thirsty dancers!

• Shaeffer Sound managed to get the dancing started within minutes and for the younger set at our event, the same DJ continued over at the Media Town House to the later hours!

We have received many requests to make this an annual event for the library. We would welcome individuals who would be interested in volunteering with us in developing ideas and participating in both fundraising events and community outreach. If interested, reach out to mediauppres@gmail.com
