We’ve come a long way

1901 Woman’s Club of Media organized the Media Free Library Association to be located in a single room on the second floor of Borough Hall.

1908 the Media Free Library Association erected a building behind the old Media Borough Hall that was originally the Media Post Office.

1954 The Media Free Library Association moved into refitted former private school bequeathed by the Sprogell Estate.

1959 Library service extended to Upper Providence in agreement for continuing financial support.

1966 Women’s Club of Media raised money to construct library addition and purchase adjoining property.
