About the Library

Media-Upper Providence Free Library 2016 building exteriorThe Media-Upper Providence Free Library is a nonprofit organization providing  materials and services for the public’s educational, recreational and vocational needs. The Media Library Association was organized by the Woman’s Club of Media in 1901. The Library became a member of the Delaware County Library System in 1981.

children's room with muralsIn July 2016, the Library welcomed the community to its new, state-of-the art building, built on the Library’s existing 1 East Front Street location. The building features the library collection, cozy public areas to read and relax and access to public computers on the main level. The second level features three meeting rooms used for Library programs and available for room rental. The lower level houses the Library’s book sale.

Monday through Thursday 10 am to 8pm
Friday 10am to 6pm
Saturday 10am to 4pm
Sunday 1pm to 4pm (closed in July & August)
